Newness of Life
Dear Friends in Christ our King,
Blessed and Happy Easter!
Easter morning always brings a refreshing sense of new life. The spiritual life of our soul is also made new. Thus, St. Paul tells us, “As Christ is risen from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also may walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)
Thanks to Our Lord’s Resurrection, we have been given the infinitely precious gift to rise from the spiritual death of our sins to the new life of grace. Indeed, Our Lord’s Resurrection teaches us to rise to a new life which is incorruptible. This new life of the Resurrection means that we are to do justice to the gracious God who fills our souls with His grace. We must avoid everything from our past which was an occasion of sin and a cause of the spiritual death of our soul. St. Paul told us at the Easter Vigil, “If you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above.” (Colossians 3:1)
This Easter season, raise our minds and hearts to up above, to the things of Heaven, beginning with the Easter Liturgy which inspires our personal prayer each day. Its graces energize us in good deeds and works of mercy for our neighbor. Easter is a fresh opportunity to be more attentive to our prayers and spiritual reading, to be more present and more loving to our families.
The more you prayerfully learn about Christ through our Catholic Faith, the more your heart will share in His divine joy. This joy in Christ is the union of love with His Sacred Heart in a profound friendship. The joy of this union is an ever-present knowledge which calms our mind. It is the Easter joy that reminds us of the indisputable fact that God always wins.
And that one day, one glorious day, if we have made good use of the graces of the Easter season here on earth, we will become worthy to share in the eternal Liturgy and great banquet of Heaven, where we will see and embrace the Risen Christ and share in His joy forevermore. Amen. Alleluia!

Updates
We are thrilled to share the latest developments in our ongoing efforts to revitalize and enhance the SHRC. Over the last two months, we have made significant progress, including:
General Contractor Partner Selected
Through a rigorous process, we have chosen a seasoned partner to work with our team through the design and preconstruction processes. Berghammer Construction Company was selected for their preconstruction management services expertise, willingness to understand the needs and goals for the SHRC, provide valuable insights and guidance with existing building and infrastructures, near-term and long-term functional requirements, asking pertinent questions, thinking boldly, and dedicated in providing a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
3-D Scan Documentation
Utilizing Matterport technology, we have completed a comprehensive 3-D scan of all three levels of the SHRC. This cutting-edge technology enables us to intricately document the existing space with accuracy. This will be an invaluable tool for the entire design and construction team as we navigate the design process as it helps our team to visualize and communicate intricate details effectively.
Establish Conceptual Budget
Over the next month, the project team is developing a comprehensive project budget based on the conceptual design work that has been completed thus far. The goal of this effort is to establish a clear budget for the Phase 1 of the project as well as begin to identify options for key components of the project such as design of the updated mechanical systems and specifications for new exterior windows.
Detailed Site Assessment
A site visit was conducted recently, which brought together Berghammer Construction Company, Barrientos Design & Consulting Architects, and key trade partners. During the visit, insightful discussions took place, and careful analysis was done to develop innovative options to modernize and enhance the infrastructure of the retreat center.
As we move forward on this transformative journey, we are committed to preserving the sacred essence of the retreat center while embracing modern amenities and functionalities. With the support of our partners and community, we are excited to realize a vision that enriches the lives of our community. 2023 Pentecost Pilgrimage
to the Basilica of Our Lady Help of Christians
Save the date! The Holy Name Society of St. Stanislaus Oratory in Milwaukee, is hosting the annual Pentecost Pilgrimage to the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady Help of Christians at Holy Hill in Wisconsin on May 18, 2024. All are invited to participate!

2024 June Spain Pilgrimage
Join Canon Luke Zignego, rector of St. Joseph Oratory in Merrillville, Indiana, on a pilgrim expedition of 1200 miles from Madrid to Zaragoza, Agreda, Burgos, Covadonga, Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela and Avila, visiting shrines of Mary, mystics and saints, and tombs of heroes of the Reconquista! Also included is a opportunity to walk the last 100 kilometers of the Camino Français in Galicia, passing medieval villages and wayside shrines to the tomb of St. James the Apostle.

2024 June Ordinations Pilgrimage
Come visit Florence, Italy! Join family and friends of the seminarians of the Institute of Christ the King in celebrating their elevation to the sacred priesthood, diaconate and subdiaconate, Minor Orders and Tonsure, at the Institute’s Baroque church of Ss. Michele e Gaetano in Florence.

Four Newly Professed
The Adorers of the Royal Heart wish you all a joyous Easter season!
On March 7, feast of our patron Saint Thomas Aquinas, four sisters pronounced their vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience at the novitiate in Naples, Italy, surrounded by many canons, sisters, and family members.
The newly professed sisters include Sister Inmaculada of the Sacred Heart (Spain), Sister Domitille-Marie of the Holy Name of Mary (France, sister of Canon Josseaume who is currently serving at St Stanislaus in Milwaukee), Sister Regina-Marie of Saint Joseph (Sheboygan), and Sister Emma-Marie of the Maternity of Marie (Wausau). Deo gratias!

Recurring Gift Society
All of our benefactors who make a recurring gift of any dollar amount are enrolled in the Little Flower Recurring Gift Society.
Members have the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered for them and are prayed for especially during the Perpetual Novena in honor of St. Therese of the Child Jesus offered at our U.S. Provincial Headquarters.
